The need-to-know stuff
DON’T DELETE THIS ACCORDION TAB, IT Is USED FOR CODE
I shoot documentary-style, meaning that I don’t direct or interfere with genuine moments as they occur. I do guide you and guests during your portraits (if you want them!), but outside of that, I let the day unfold organically and capture stunning candids. My editing style is true-to-life colors with rich contrast and bold lighting. I deliver a large amount of black and whites in a semi-film look, and you’ll never get orange-y photos from me. Done!
I recommend booking 9-12 months in advance as I limit the number of weddings I take per year. If you’re running across my info less than 9 months out, go ahead and reach out as I occasionally take additional bookings.
I’m in Dallas, Texas and will happily travel just about anywhere! Where’s your wedding taking us?! (FYI, travel throughout Texas and Oklahoma is always included without any extra fees.)
I send a handful of fully edited sneak peeks within 72 hours of your wedding day. Your full wedding gallery will be delivered within 8-10 weeks.
I get that all the industry terms can be confusing!
Here’s the deal: The key to loving your wedding photos is finding a photographer who’s totally on your wavelength. Some photographers shine during those elegant, not-a-hair-out-of-place, perfectly managed affairs, and others love to curate Vogue magazine-style shots. (That’s the “editorial” vibe people talk about.)
But if you love the idea of throwing caution to the wind and doing things your way, whether that’s wearing black leather for your reception or running around in the rain or holding your baby during your vows, then I’m your girl. Documentary-style means that I don’t direct, and we’re not gonna stage a photoshoot—we’re gonna capture all the wild magic of being alive and in love, exactly as you are.

And just in case you’re new around here…
Hey, I’m Rae, your documentary-style wedding photographer in Dallas, Texas
When I pick up the camera, I’m more interested in real moments than manufactured ones, and I’m guessing you are too. You know—the unplanned, unposed, couldn’t-recreate-it-if-you-tried kind of moments that make your wedding day un-freaking-mistakably yours.
Maybe you’re nodding along because you also care more about having an amazing celebration than perfect photos (plot twist: this is exactly how you get amazing photos!).
Or maybe you’re relieved to find a photographer who won’t make you fake-laugh or spend hours posing while your guests wonder where you disappeared to.
I document weddings for couples who want to remember how their day actually felt—the nerve-citedness, the happy tears and ugly cries, the way your whole crew went absolutely nuts when your favorite song came on. No staging, no interrupting, just the full, perfectly imperfect story of your day.
If this sounds like what you're after, I might just be the wedding photographer for you!
